a silly little ball of energy in the setting sun [Almendarez] | family

This family has my heart.

Three years ago the Almendarez family grew. Little Skylar was born into her parents arms and into my ever expanding family of clients and friends. I was so privileged to take pictures of her in the hopsital only moments after she was born [click here for a blast from the past].

Time spent with this family always leaves me laughing, and somewhat breathless (Skylar is a ball of unending energy, much like my son. It's no wonder they're best friends. She can KEEP UP WITH HIM!) I'm always excited to exert energy alongside their little silly one and hope to for years to come.

a happy little family and their tiniest new member | [Baby Aaron] newborn

Everyone knows that I love me some sweet, squishy babies, but when you add an adorable family to the mix with four little ones who smile the entire time your with them? You got yourself a whole lot o' lovin.

This adorable fam welcomed me back for the third time to celebrate one of their newest members, Aaron. *cue kissy noises and wittle coos

I came in and set up while the kids ate peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and giggled over chips and juice. The day had started out bright and shining and was turning overcast and humid.

Great napping weather.

And after a few happy family shots and some sibling snuggles, giggles and grins, Aaron settled down for a nice, long, posey-poserino sleep.

He was perfect. And I know that I say that all the time, but really! He was all sunshine and roses-errr I mean, dump trucks and candy canes.

Pocket full of sunshine and her rompin', stompin' cowgirl party [Elyse | Two]

The rains came and soaked the ground. The stormy winds blew and howled and shook the trees. All grew quiet. Night came. And the next day was filled with beauty.

And just in time.

For Pocket's second birthday party.

Elyse and Emma ran around the yard entertaining their guests. They laughed and they grinned, hooted and hollered. They roped cattle and whooshed on trains, rode the most gentle pony as he trotted along, bounced on trampolines, ate plenty of grub, drank up every juice box in sight, and had the biggest blast a girl could ask!

So glad she's two and even more happy to have been there to celebrate her special day with her...

What a fun story this was, Elyse!!!
